Oceanstone's accommodations are set in a location of rare natural beauty on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Thoughtful design and location create a space conducive to a reconnection with families, friends, and the natural world. Our cottages, suites, and inn are built in a traditional Nova Scotia style and furnished with custom designed furniture and decor, often built from centuries-old recovered wood and metal. Each cottage has its own character, its own unique view, and an orientation that assures privacy. Each looks out over some of the most beautiful, unspoiled scenes Nova Scotia has to offer, all set in the historic old village of Indian Harbour. Depending on sleeping arrangements as many as 60 people can stay overnight on our property. Additional guests can be accommodated in some of the many charming B&B’s, which are easily reached by a local shuttle service. Generally, for a wedding ceremony and reception, we can comfortably accommodate up to 100 people. Larger numbers are possible, but require some discussion and extra planning with our chef and wedding coordinator. In some cases, where additional rentals are required, the cost of those rentals will be passed on to the wedding party. We have recently expanded our facilities so that we can accommodate weddings year round. Every season offers a different set of gifts and charms to our brides and grooms. If you are not familiar with our coastal climate you may be surprised by the beauty and fair weather that we enjoy in autumn; or by the drama and spectacle of the winter ocean.
