We've only got one.

So what makes a wedding green or eco?  There are lots of ways to make a wedding green, and one size does not fit all.  Weddings are about togetherness, about celebrating a union in front of a community, and about having fun and enjoying time with those people.  It has to be fun, if it is not fun, easy, and flowing nicely, then we need to re-look at our processes and goals – because something is off track. 

The wedding should also celebrate the bride and groom as individuals and as a couple.  If you like great food, then don’t settle for less, if you want it to be environmentally friendly – make it happen!  Want to use only local ingredients?  Or have the chef make up the menu based on what you find together at the market?  Let’s do it!

On the flip side of that coin: don’t do things you don’t want to do.  Most of the stress that effects wedding couples is rooted in their efforts to please people around them by providing a n experience that they wouldn’t choose for themselves.  Strip that stuff away, as much as you can (general rule of thumb: don’t make older ladies cry), when we strip away the excess and unneeded, we reveal more of the essence of the celebration, shining just a bright.   Green weddings have less stress, more meaning, and meaning is the new luxury.

So, that’s the intro.  The official Eco Wedding Program is new this year, and we have a couple of great options and packages below, we’re excited to hear your ideas and hopes for your unique, special, awesome, boutique, gourmet, eco-wedding!   

Eco-Wedding Package One:
Available as Morning Ceremony or Afternoon Ceremony

Guests enjoy a guided hike to your uniquely positioned outdoor “chapel.”  Our Eco-concierge, Eben Fry, will work with you ahead of time to select a unique location for your wedding ceremony.  Locations will be selected based on the length of hike, difficulty of terrain, etc.  Our staff will be waiting with optional seating, decor, and other amenities.       

After the ceremony our friendly staff will serve a selection of hors d’oeuvres and canapés while the guests enjoy the location and photographs are taken.  Lunch can be served picnic style, or the whole group then hikes back to Lunch or Dinner, served indoors or out.  This meal can be plated or buffet style.  Depending on location and a few logistics, our full menu is available for all eco wedding events.

Depending on your energy level... Our team has scouted and secured various locations for dances and after-parties.   

Other great outdoor events can be planned around your wedding day of course, and Eben would be more than happy to assist you in planning camping, kayaking, or hiking trips, boat tours, or team-building activities.
